Regional Consultation Events
Over 500 people attended the Consultation events held in each of the nine government regions between December 2006 and March 2007. They represented many of the sector’s national, regional and local support organisations, as well as a number of frontline charities and community groups.
We received written responses through our blog, questionnaires, letters and detailed submission from over 130 people and organisations. Over 30 came from representative organisations that had carried out wider consultations to seek the views of their own members and partners.
What You Said
The comments received were thoughtful, constructive and guided by a passion for the third sector, with much support for Capacitybuilders. There was some robust criticism as well as friendly challenges - just what we would expect and hope for from the sector. Many people suggested improvements and additions. Some highlighted a lack of clarity on some aspects of the emerging strategy.
